General Event Agenda
Black Health Empowerment Project events are typically held on Saturdays from 9am to 3:30pm. On-site registration for the free event opens at 9am. A healthy continental breakfast is provided to attendees in most cities. Each event features a Healthy Living Forum and Health & Fitness Expo to educate participants about obesity’s link to chronic health conditions and to introduce realistic strategies for achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. The major segments of the day are explained below in greater detail.

Healthy Living Forum
A two-hour morning session moderated by a local media personality that gets attendees on their feet, asks them to get real about obesity, offers expert advice on nutrition and physical activity, and serves up a delicious dish prepared by Celebrity chef Lindsey Williams or a local nutritionist

The schedule of activities includes:
• Event Kick-off
• Welcome Remarks
• Inspirational Warm-up Exercise Session
• Obesity Presentation
• Nutrition Session
• Cooking Demonstration
• Giveaways

Health & Fitness Expo
A three-hour energized afternoon segment that offers free health screenings, health information, demonstrations, activities, and fun for the entire family

The schedule of activities includes:
• Free Health Screenings
• Dozens of Health Exhibitors
• “Ask the Experts” Zone
• Children’s Activity Zone
