Community Breakfast Wish List
The Congressional Black Caucus Spouses are honored to have had the opportunity to collaborate with SOME (So Others Might Eat) in hosting a Community Breakfast and Health Fair during the 37 th Annual Legislative Conference. The Health Fair services over 400 homeless men and women in the Washington, D.C.-area by providing breakfast for residents and the opportunity to partake in health screenings. These screenings are designed to provide access to preventive health measures and increase disease education and awareness.

The Community Breakfast Wish List has been designed as an agent to combat the immediate and ongoing needs of homeless men and women in the Washington, D.C area. The SOME programs listed are in need of materials that will help maintain children's centers, elderly shelters, employment centers, half-way houses and many other vital services. The wishes listed range from basic administrative tools – for example, laptops – to the supplies for community living, such as artificial sweeteners and coffee. Every wish named is crucial to the success of SOME programs.
