Since the Fall of 2000, CBCF's Emerging Leaders Series has successfully planned and organized forums on issues such as health, education, prison reform, grassroots organizing, terrorism, hip hop activism and wealth creation. Panelists are representative of elected officials, scholars, community leaders, and individuals who have been directly impacted by the topic of discussion.

The Emerging Leaders Series generally attracts audience members of all ages, providing the added benefit of intergenerational dialogue. Since its inception, ELS panel discussions have been presented to thousands of live audience members and millions of viewers via C-SPAN and the MBC Network, both domestically and internationally.
