CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS FOUNDATION
WELCOMES KEVIN BROWN TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

CBCF Chairman Kendrick Meek (left) welcomes the Foundation’s newest board member, Keith Brown

WASHINGTON – The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation today announced that Kevin M. Brown, a key global executive with Dell Inc., has joined the organization’s Board of Directors.

Brown serves as Dell’s vice president of original design manufacturer (ODM) fulfillment and supply chain strategy. He is a nine-year Dell veteran, and leads a global team tasked with architecting and directing future global supply chain and fulfillment strategies, including Dell’s ODM fulfillment relationships.

“Kevin has the respect and ear of Dell’s senior leadership team,” said U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek (D-Florida), chairman of the CBCF Board, who welcomed Brown at the start of the Foundation Board’s summer meeting in Washington yesterday. “Kevin is both excited about being nominated and committed to providing the time to make a difference for the CBCF.”

Brown will complete the unexpired CBCF board term of Thurmond Woodard, vice president for global diversity and the chief ethics, privacy and compliance officer for Dell, and one of the Foundation’s staunchest supporters. Woodard died on April 4 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

“I am honored to join the CBCF’s Board of Directors and humbled to have this opportunity to support Thurmond Woodard’s legacy of work with the CBCF,” Brown said. “Dell and the CBCF will continue to work hand in hand, developing future leaders and promoting collaboration.”
