The Collective Power Tour is a national initiative designed by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation to promote health, education and policy dialogue among African Americans in communities throughout the U.S. Comprised of the Black Health Empowerment Project (BHEP) and District Level Forums (DLF); the grassroots effort addresses two important goals:

  • To increase awareness about the relationship between obesity and chronic health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and heart disease that continue to plague communities of color; and

  • To educate African Americans about voting rights, income security and parental advocacy for child educational achievement.

Currently the Foundation is identifying priority cities for its 2006 Tour. Visit this Web site regularly to find out when we are coming to a city near you!
