CBCF ALC 2012

CBCF ALC 2012The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s (CBCF) 42nd Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) is the premier conference on legislative and policy issues impacting the African-American community.

Thousands of attendees from across the country and around the world attend ALC to learn about the challenges and opportunities facing Black America and the Diaspora.  This year’s theme, Inspiring Leaders|Building Generations references CBCF’s focus on leadership, education and public policy information.  The 42nd Annual ALC will be a call to action to vote in this election year as many states have passed restrictive voting laws that could prevent millions from exercising their right to vote.

ALC provides an African-American perspective on public policy with thought-provoking and educational policy forums, community education workshops and policy briefs.  Coupled with CBCF’s stellar Public Service Leadership Institute, which has provided thousands of internships and fellowships as well as CBCF’s more than $10 million in scholarships awarded to African-American students, CBCF has become the standard bearer of changing the landscape on Capitol Hill.
