Essay 2: As the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) turns to celebrate its’ 40th Anniversary in 2011, discuss an issue from the groups rich history that demonstrates the Caucus’ unique advocacy role and that has provided the most benefit to the global black community. Looking forward, what issue do you believe the CBC should champion to remain effective and relevant? Explain.

Letters must be on official letterhead, state the recommender’s title, and provide contact information. Make sure your recommender signs the envelope seal. All three letters and an official transcript must be sent in one envelope to the CBC Foundation Leadership Institute.
