Students Harvesting Opportunities toward Wealth-Building (SHOW)

A Forum on Financial Literacy

SHOW forums are part of CBCF’s effort to convey the importance of personal financial management to college students at Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs), as well as predominantly‐black institutions (PBIs) in CBC member districts. SHOW works with each host/partner school to develop a forum that highlights economic and financial development opportunities that will:

  • Help students better manage their current finances and plan for the future
  • Showcase important resources that can support small business and community development; promote homeownership; and reinforce sound financial management and planning in the communities where students live, work and/or attend school

The 1 ½  to 2 hour SHOW session is open to students at all levels, conducted in a town hall setting to address many issues affecting the management of finances for students including the subjects of  - Saving, Budgeting, Financial aid, and congressional policy affecting the lives of students.
