CBCF Announces New Board Chairman

WASHINGTON—The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Incorporated (CBCF) today announced that Mr. R. Donahue Peebles, the immediate past vice chairman of the CBCF board of directors, will assume the role of chairman, effective immediately. Don Peebles is a real estate entrepreneur, author, founder and chairman of The Peebles Corporation.

The change in leadership comes after Rep. Chaka Fattah stepped down as board chairman yesterday, after nearly three years helming the CBCF's board of directors. Under Rep. Fattah's leadership, the foundation advanced its mission to develop leaders, inform public policy and educate the public by expanding its education, economic empowerment, public health and environmental sustainability initiatives.
