Aiding the Process by Tarrah C. Cooper and Jamille Fields
CBCF and Wal-Mart have partnered to provide minority students with valuable experiences working within the U.S. government. The first nine interns arrived in Washington for their assignments on Labor Day weekend unsure of what to expect. It was time well spent. “There is no other program or internship out there that is as comprehensive as this one,” said Alona Sistrunk, a Howard University senior who interned at the U.S. Department of Justice.
