The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF) is nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy, research and educational institute based in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1976, CBCF advances the global black community through leadership cultivation, community education and civic engagement.
CBCF inspires leaders and builds generations by:
• Providing scholarship opportunities to increase the pool of black leaders.
• Developing innovative community-based programs and public research to address social, economic and health disparities.
• Facilitating the exchange of ideas and information to address critical issues affecting the global black community.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, CBCF does NOT advocate or support either directly or indirectly, the election or defeat of any candidate for public or political office. CBCF does not donate or contribute to any candidate's campaign, nor does it participate or engage in political fundraising events nor, otherwise, solicit contributions, nor endorse or oppose a candidate.
Money raised by and donated to CBCF is used to provide programs in the areas of health, education and economic development; to provide scholarships, internship and fellowships for young people who would otherwise not have the opportunity to pursue an education or work in a policy-making position; and to provide key research that informs the global black community. Through innovative, community-based programs, CBCF explores public policy concerns and promotes public health and financial empowerment for all communities.
Together, with your support, CBCF will continue to inform policy, educate the public and inspire a new generation of leaders.
