#ItsGivingCBCF

We know. You’re trying to wrap up work, firm up travel plans, and find just the right gift—and hopefully not at the last minute. Again.

So why do you find yourself reading this end-of-the-year giving appeal?

Quite frankly? Because we need your help to finish this year strong.

Friends and supporters like you have continued to stand with CBCF during yet another extraordinary year. Among other things, 2021 marked 50 years of the visionary and groundbreaking Congressional Black Caucus, the jury decision on the murder of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd, and our nation’s efforts to combat the ongoing global pandemic and mourn the souls silenced in its wake.

Through it all, we’ve provided innovative programming, championed research, and held events relevant to the vibrant community we are, and that we serve.

Your thoughtful contribution does more than simply serve as a tax write-off, although that’s important for many families. This also serves as our chance to highlight the moves we have made in 2021 to advance the global Black community and underscores the investment we have poured into our emerging leaders to serve as our future business, civic, and political leaders.

It’s the gift that keeps giving to our community and ensures a vibrant future for us all!

Let’s rewind and spotlight a few of CBCF’s initiatives, programs, and activities during this year:

  • We celebrated the National Racial Equity Initiative for Social Justice program’s first year of advancing social justice and racial equity and welcomed four Congressman John R. Lewis Social Justice Policy Fellows.
  • We hosted our first-ever Emerging Leaders’ Summit as part of the “Policy for the People” series. The virtual event featured Millennial and Generation Z leaders as we examined two issues central to Black economic empowerment: student loan debt and entrepreneurship.
  • We continued to cultivate and nurture our future leaders through our scholarship, internship, and fellowship programs.
  • And last, but by no means least, we learned from and lauded leaders from our community during the virtual 50th Annual Legislative Conference—with registration for programming provided at no cost.

It’s been quite the year, to be certain. But it serves as the foundation for 2022 with even more goals to grasp. We need you to have our back as we begin another year with focus and resolve. And who better to support us than us?

Please give generously.

Thanks again for standing with us! We wish you and your loved ones love, peace, and joy.
