WASHINGTON—The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Incorporated (CBCF) today announced that the Tracking Foundation donated grants totaling $3.75 million from the charitable foundation established by philanthropist Stephen Feinberg to support scholarships and internships for African American and Black students. Mr. Feinberg is the co-founder and co-chief executive officer of Cerberus Capital Management, a global private equity firm with investment assets across complementary credit, private equity, and real estate platforms.

The Stephen Feinberg Scholarship Program will award scholarships to help remove financial barriers from talented and ambitious students who are pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields. Internships funded by the grants will provide students and young professionals with invaluable practical training, along with leadership, mentoring and networking opportunities.

The partnership between CBCF and the Tracking Foundation allows for critical support to intelligent and capable students, which in turn advances racial equity in classrooms, conference rooms, chambers and board rooms.

“We thank the Tracking Foundation for their generous support and willingness to partner with us,” said CBCF CEO and President Tonya Veasey. “The scholarships and internships will help us carry out our essential work to support and develop the next generation of scholars and leaders.”
