Kevin Fashola serves as the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Donald Payne Foreign Policy Fellow. Currently, Kevin is a visiting fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) for the International Security Program with their “Defending our Democratic Institutions Project.” This project investigates Russia and other adversaries’ attacks on democratic institutions and identifies effective ways to counter their efforts. Kevin will transition to the U.S. Department of State as a desk officer in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs. Previously, Kevin served in the office of Congressman Gregory Meeks (D-NY), where his portfolio included foreign relations, financial institutions, armed services, financial services, banks, and international organizations. As a member of the legislative team, Kevin met with foreign diplomats, ambassadors, ministers, governors, NGOs, civil servants, and other stakeholders. Additionally, he advised the Congressman on issues of foreign policy, judicial, financial, military and environmental matters; he also drafted legislation on matters relating to the Federal Reserve, monetary policy, state relations, human rights and other aspects of financial services/ foreign affairs.
