Malikha Daniels serves as the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation STEM Legislative Fellow on the House Committee on Agriculture, Subcommittee on Livestock and Foreign Agriculture and the Subcommittee on Biotechnology, Horticulture, and Research. On the Committee, she meets with stakeholders, reviews legislation, prepares memos and materials to brief agricultural staff in personal offices, and completes special research projects. Additionally, she prepares staff and members of Congress for subcommittee hearings and briefings.
Previously, Malikha served in the office of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). Her legislative issue areas included agriculture, nutrition, food safety, and trade. As a member of the Senator’s legislative team, Malikha met with stakeholders, wrote letters to constituents and United States Federal Departments and Agencies, attended Senate Agriculture Committee meetings and briefings, wrote memos and briefed the Senator. Additionally, she conducted research and held meetings with political nominees to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and developed a strategy for the Senator on Food Safety.
