Andrias White Murdaugh, MBA, CMP, CSEP, CVP

Vice President, Strategic Events

Andrias White Murdaugh, MBA, CMP, CSEP, CVP is the Vice President of Strategic Events at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF). She provides leadership, direction, and management of the events department, along with strategic plans for all events and stakeholder engagement. She is responsible for building CBCF’s reputation for high performance and results through executional excellence, stakeholder engagement, and high caliber strategic events.

Mrs. White Murdaugh has dedicated her career to excellence in event management and digital production strategy for high-profile organizations. Her 12 years of experience spans the corporate, public, and private sectors as an internal event strategist, venue manager, third-party consultant, and entrepreneur. Her previous roles include Director of Logistics for George Mason University’s Office of Admissions, Senior Event Manager for Events DC at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Senior Facility and Sales Manager for the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center, and CEO of Andrias Events.

Through her experience, she has produced high-security and high-profile conventions, special events, and athletic tournaments. Her most notable events include the United States Presidential Inaugural Balls, World Gas Congress, American Israel Public Affairs Policy Conference

(AIPAC), the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Dinner, Amazon re:Invent, SAP Sapphire Now, Salesforce World Tour, and the National Football League’s 2019 Washington Redskins Training Camp.

Mrs. White Murdaugh is no stranger to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. For four consecutive years, she served as the convention center lead for the Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference (ALC). Most recently, she served in an internal CBCF role as the Senior Manager for Event and Speaker Logistics during the 2020 Virtual Annual Legislative Conference (ALC ‘20).

Over the course of her career, Mrs. White Murdaugh has received several prestigious industry honors and awards. She is the recipient of the Professional Convention Management Association’s (PCMA) 20 in their Twenties Award, the International Association of Venue Managers’ (IAVM) 30 Under 30 Award, and George Mason University’s Inaugural 40 under 40 Honors. Additionally, she was inducted into the President’s Circle of Achievement at Events DC.

Through her intensive study of industry best practices and ever-changing trends, she earned and maintains three esteemed designations: Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP), and Certified Venue Professional (CVP). She has proudly served as a member of the CMP Exam Item Review Committee, a grader for the CSEP Exam, and a judge for both the International Live Event Association’s (ILEA) Professional Achievement in Creative Events (PACE) and Espirit Awards.

With a passion for education and developing youth and young professionals, Mrs. White Murdaugh served as an adjunct professor in George Mason University’s School of Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Management and Montgomery College’s Workforce Development Hospitality Program. In 2020, her case studies and insights were published in the third edition of collegiate textbook Wedding Planning and Management: Consultancy for Diverse Clients, written by Dr. Maggie Daniels and Carrie Wosicki.

Mrs. White Murdaugh earned both a Bachelor of Science in Tourism & Event Management and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from George Mason University and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She is the proud wife of fellow Mason alum David W. Murdaugh III, MBA.
