Melissa serves as a Government Affairs Fellow with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. Her professional background includes work in public policy, grantmaking, journalism and media, and program management, where she has managed a range of research and advocacy initiatives. Melissa’s areas of focus are technology in the public interest and strengthening civil rights and civil liberties in the digital age.
Melissa holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern Illinois University.
