Ryan Eugene

STEAM Fellow

Ryan Eugene is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, and/or Intellectual Property or Copyright Law) Fellow with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. He is assigned to the Washington, D.C. office of Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett (US-VI). Previously, Mr. Eugene worked at the Virginia Court of Appeals as a Judicial Law Clerk for The Honorable Vernida R. Chaney. In that role, Mr. Eugene was responsible for researching and analyzing complex civil and criminal issues. It was this work, that inspired Mr. Eugene to make the transition to Capitol Hill where he could make impactful change through policy development. Ultimately, Mr. Eugene intends to use the skills learned throughout the program and his time with CBCF to promote and incorporate equity and justice for all. Mr. Eugene earned his bachelor’s in political science from Morehouse College, where he proudly served as an HBCU King representing Spelman College. He received his law degree from the University of Connecticut.
