Social Justice Cannabis Fellow

Autumn James graduated from Western Carolina University, where she earned her Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s degree. She is currently earning her Master’s degree in Cannabis Science and Therapeutics at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. After graduation she worked with Communities In Schools, an American non-profit organization. This organization works within public and charter schools to ensure every child a healthy start, a head start, a fair start, a safe start, a moral start in life, and a successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities. She also worked as a certified Pharmacy Technician responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, checking for possible interactions, and assisting in immunization. Autumn currently serves as an NREI Cannabis and Social Justice Fellow in the office of Congressman Donald Payne.
