I love this piece! It makes me think of Nas's "I Can" song. While that song was playful and fun with a positive message, I know it will never make his top 10 best songs. Not when negativity sells but I still hold out hope because I know generations that come after to know we valued ourselves.

Mr. Anthony,

I used to love H.I.M. as well, so much has changes, the lyrics have no substance and I can barely figure out the story line or if there is even meant to be one. But I'm hoping that things will change, it is a constant and consistent thought, actually prayer that I have, that possibly one day, in my lifetime, that my young brothers and sisters will think about what they speak about, the exploitation of one another and make a change. I don't want to give up on H.I.M because I have loved him deeply, but I do know that there are certain life styles that must change if he is to survive. so, i try to think positively about H.I.M. And hope for the best.
