Our Brand Story

A Powerful Vision

Since 1976, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF) has worked to uplift the global Black community by developing leaders, informing policy, and educating the public. For over four decades, CBCF has worked to create opportunities for young Black professionals in spaces that have historically excluded them.

CBCF is comprised of leaders, students, and communities who share common values. These groups have continued to work together to realize and achieve CBCF’s vision of a world in which all communities have an equal voice in public policy through leadership cultivation, economic empowerment, and civic engagement. These accumulated stories, efforts, and achievements define the way others see us. They inform our consistent story. They inform our brand—the way our audiences perceive the Foundation as they interact with us.

As CBCF steps into the future, we want to be accompanied by new visual and digital assets.

New Brand, Same Mission: Looking Up, Leading Forward

The new CBCF logo takes inspiration from the eye of the Capitol Rotunda. The painting, the Apotheosis of Washington by Constantino Brumidi, represents reaching the highest point. The focus on the center represents the goal one aims to achieve.

CBCF’s new tagline represents CBCF’s new logomark of the inside of the Capitol dome and the organization’s new perspective. It signifies CBCF’s work to advance the Black community by developing the next generation of Black leaders, and it uplifts policy analysis and research that benefits Black communities across the globe.
