FAQs: CBC Spouses Education Scholarship

African American and Black graduating high school seniors; scholars pursuing undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degrees in a variety of fields.

The selected recipients will receive awards ranging from $2,500 – $20,000. Recipients for the CBC Spouses Education Scholarship are selected by their CBC Member’s district office scholarship committee.

The full award is disbursed once for the academic year directly to the academic institution of attendance. The award will apply evenly between the fall and spring semesters.

Yes. You must be a constituent of a Congressional Black Caucus Member by residing in or attending a high school, college or university within their district to be eligible for the CBC Spouses Education Scholarship.

The CBC Spouses Education Scholarship award is not renewable. Each year eligibility requirements must be met along with the submission of an application and required documents.
