Beyond the Stigma: Barriers and Breakthroughs in Mental Health Webinar

The 2025 Policy for the People Virtual Health Webinar will focus on advancing discussions and solutions around Black mental health. Hosted by the Center for Policy Analysis and Research, the event will bring together policy experts, industry leaders, community activists, and Members of the Congressional Black Caucus to explore systemic barriers and strategies to improve mental healthcare access.
The webinar features two main sessions:
- Mental Health Deserts and the Workforce Shortage – tackling the lack of mental health services and Black mental health professionals.
- Black Mental Health in the Social Media & Digital Era – examining the impact of digital spaces on Black mental wellness.
Attendees will gain insights on policy solutions, community-based strategies, and ways to reduce stigma while promoting equity and well-being in Black communities.
