Beyond the Badge: Policing as a Social Determinant of Health

This brief will conduct a difference-in-difference analysis comparing health outcomes in Minneapolis, MN and St. Louis, MO before and after the passage of the Minnesota Police Accountability Act and other city-level ordinances in Minneapolis, where George Floyd’s death brought renewed urgency to demands for police accountability.
