Year of Action: ALC is Back In-Person

After two years of shifting to virtual programming, we are excited to reunite with you in-person for the 51st Annual Legislative Conference (ALC). For decades, the ALC has brought together thought leaders, elected officials, high-profile figures, advocates, emerging leaders, and aspiring change agents in the spirit of fellowship and celebrating Black excellence. However, it is much more.

It’s about sparking civic engagement around policy and critical issues that affect Black communities globally. It’s about mobilizing and empowering communities to advocate for policies and initiatives that support upward mobility and challenge those that ultimately serve as detriment to the growth of Black communities.

In the wake of the public health crisis spurred by COVID-19, we saw policies reverse, and ideologies resurface that go against the civic progress made in the last 50 plus years. In a blink of an eye, history was repeating itself as blatant tactics – from voter suppression to police brutality to deepening disparities – were on display.

As we are in the trenches of a pivotal election season, for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF), this year’s ALC is a year of action. With our theme, Advancing Our Purpose. Elevating Our Power, we invite you to join a collective voice as we explore actionable next steps to some of our most critical issues, around public health, criminal and social justice, education, economic empowerment.

Together our voices are stronger. Through our thoughtful and informative sessions, and the celebration of Black excellence, our hope is that you will feel a renewed sense of purpose and will be inspired to continue the work of progressive and positive change. Tickets to this year’s conference include access badge for in-person attendance, a swag bag, access signature events such as the Opening Night Reception, National Town Hall, Gospel Extravaganza, policy sessions, and other events, two (2) Lunch Tickets, and so much more! Click here to learn more about ALC’22 and to register before prices increase on September 1!
