The 54th Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) brought thousands to Washington, D.C., for an inspiring week of dialogue, action, and celebration centered on the theme “Made for This Moment: Power, Policy, & Progress.” Under the leadership of Honorary Co-Chairs Senator Angela Alsobrooks and Representative Joe Neguse, this year’s ALC highlighted the strength, influence, and forward momentum of the Black community. Throughout the week, policymakers, advocates, creators, scholars, and community leaders gathered to confront urgent national challenges and chart a path toward meaningful change.
From the opening press conference to unforgettable signature events, each moment illustrates CBCF’s ongoing commitment to advancing equity, celebrating culture, and amplifying Black leadership on a national and global scale. As the nation faces critical social, political, and economic crossroads, this year’s conference affirmed that we are not only prepared to meet this moment—we are made for it.
