Webinar | The End of Race-Conscious Admissions in Higher Education: What Does This Mean for Black Students?

July 6, 2023 @ 6:30 pm

On June 29th, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected affirmative action bringing an end to race-conscious admissions in colleges and universities.

In this webinar, the Center for Policy Analysis and Research seeks to amplify the voices of Black leaders at the vanguard of movements to advance educational access for minority communities.  Panelists include:

  • Lodriguez V. Murray, Senior Vice President, Public Policy & Government Affairs, UNCF
  • Dr. Kimberly Griffin, Dean of Education, University of Maryland
  • Dr. Ivory Toldson, Director of Education Innovation and Research, NAACP
  • Danielle E. Davis, Staff Counsel, National Education Association

This convening is an opportunity to discuss the SCOTUS decision, identify implications for Black students, explore the potential impact on HBCUs and other predominantly Black institutions, and define a responsive course of action.
