Karen Clarke Sheard and Reverend Dr. Gina Stewart to Headline Day of Healing at the CBCF 52nd Annual Legislative Conference

Washington, D.C. – August 16, 2023 – The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) is thrilled to announce that renowned gospel artist Karen Clarke Sheard and Reverend Dr. Gina Stewart will be the distinguished special guests at the upcoming Day of Healing event. Presented by Coca-Cola during the 52nd Annual Legislative Conference (ALC), the event is planned for Saturday, September 23, at 7:30 a.m. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

The Day of Healing is an inspiring feature of the ALC, offering a platform for reflection and rejuvenation for various communities. Through inspirational messages and stimulating performances, the Day of Healing convenes faith leaders and individuals from across the country to honor the critical role faith has played in the lives of African Americans in the fight to secure our democracy, protect our freedoms, and uplift our culture.

Reverend Dr. Gina Stewart, a prominent figure in ministry and leadership, has been a beacon of hope for countless individuals through her impactful sermons and tireless community engagement. As the founder and senior pastor of Christ Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, Reverend Stewart’s wisdom and guidance have made a lasting impact on her congregation and beyond.
