WASHINGTON, DC, March 14, 2016 – A. Shuanise Washington, President and CEO of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Incorporated (CBCF) released the following statement on the passing of Robert McGlotten, former CBCF board member and long-standing champion of labor rights.

“The CBCF is deeply saddened by the passing of Robert McGlotten, a lifetime advocate for the American labor movement.

“He led a career dedicated to improving the socioeconomic status of underrepresented communities and building a world in which all American workers have an equal voice in employment programs.  McGlotten’s work impacted all aspects of the labor movement from unemployment to taxes to trade to health and urban mass transit.
